The Richfield Realty Ltd. (the Company) recognizes the importance of social responsibility of corporations which has already become the culture of large corporations. Actually the acquiring and redeveloping old buildings itself is the practice of social responsibility which enables the elderly owners of rundown properties to re-launch their new lives. All staff of the Company also follow the belief of its Founder, Mr Au Wing Wah, that the community where acquisition and redevelopment happen is always helped and taken care of by the Company’s staff. Also, staff have been encouraged and facilitated to participate in voluntary activities organized by charitable organizations.
Over the years, the Company has established several ongoing corporate responsibility projects, which are:
Title Sponsor of “Wai Yin Association Charity Ball 2015”
A sum of HK$1 million was donated by the Company that was served as the Title Sponsor of “Wai Yin Association Charity Ball 2015” to support their charitable projects related to “Poverty Relief”.
PLK Charitable Funding – A sum of HK$10 million was donated by the Company to Po Leung Kuk (PLK) to set up and administer a charity fund in 2011. Its aim is to help the needy who are lacking of means and access to government and NGOs’ support.
PolyU Richfield Group Scholarship – The Company has set up a “Richfield Group Scholarship” with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for students studying the subject “Planning and Development” in Bachelor of Science in Property Management programme since the academic year 2012 – 2013.
CityU Richfield Group Scholarship – The Company has set up a “Richfield Group Scholarship” with the City University of Hong Kong for students studying the programme of Associate of Science in Building Services Engineering since the academic year 2014 – 2015.
Other charitable works, such as:
- Sponsoring a musical organized by the “Skywalkers” to enrich the cultural experience of the youth;
- Forming a staff team to participate in a charitable hiking competition organized by “Green Power” to promote the awareness of environmental protection;
- Donating the abandon office furniture to the “Crossroads Foundation” to redistribute them to those in needs;
- Visiting and donating to a school in Luo Ding, Mainland, for maintaining the school’s facilities.
